Wine Tasting #8: J. Lohr

Name: J. Lohr
Variety: Cabernet Sauvignon
Region: Paso Robles
Country: California, USA
Year: 2017
Price: $10

Winery Review: "2017 J. Lohr Estates Seven Oaks Cabernet Sauvignon is dark and dense in color to the rim of the glass. Layered aromas of black cherry, currant and blueberry are accented by an authentic barrel-aged bouquet of dark chocolate, cocoa powder, and roasted coffee. The palate peaks with high-toned red berry fruit, and follows with bright acidity and a full structure that is both dense and soft at once" -Steve Peck, Director of winemaking

My Review:
The J. Lohr smelt super sweet, you could almost smell the fruits in it, particularly berries. I did taste a mix of blackberries and raspberry. This wine was really good although it did seem rather high acidity, it was very rich and bold. Overall a really good wine!
