Wine Tasting #28: Frida Kahlo

Name: Frida Kahlo
Variety: Cabernet Sauvignon
Region: Maipo Valley
Country: USA
Year: 2017
Price: $19
Winery Review: "Beyond the cool concept label, there's a serious Cabernet Sauvignon in the bottle—one with steady aromas of cola and root beer along with berries and light oak. A flush palate deals a full fan of berry flavors, while rubbing tannins give grip to an otherwise easy finish. Drink through 2024." -Michael Schachner
My Review: This cab wasn't bad, one thing about it was that it had little flavor at first. You had to really drink half a glass in order to get the berries and oak in the wine. It was incredibly smooth, almost like drinking water. Overall it was pretty good and I would definitely get it again.
