Wine Tasting #3: Campo Viejo

Name: Campo Viejo
Variety: Tempranillo
Region: Rioja
Country: Spain
Year: 2016
Price: $40

Winery Review: "Nose is rich in aromas and pronounced in intensity. We are struck by the ripe red fruit, later we get the wood nuances with gently sweet notes of vanilla to finish with other sweet spices"-Elena Adell, Chief Winemaker

My Review: I smelt a very strong and powerful aroma. Smelling it was almost half the flavor, the taste was very smooth with hints of raspberry. I attempted to stir and sip and upon doing so the flavors really came out and I was able to get subtle vanilla flavors. Overall this was a very good wine and I will definitely get it again! That is if I find it somewhere cheaper!
