Wine Tasting #11: Leese-Fitch

Name: Leese-Fitch
Variety: Cabernet Sauvignon
Region: Sonoma
Country: CA, USA
Year: 2015
Price: $12
Winery Review: "Deep garnet in color, this wine bursts with aromas of sweetened cranberry, cassis, toasted marshmallow, charred dill and roasted red pepper. The aroma is smoky, complex and inviting. On the palate are notes of tart raspberry, spring cherry, and crunchy plum, leading to toffee and fresh roasted Arabica coffee beans, followed by dill, sage and lime zest. The finish is smooth with hints of smoke, cocoa, and unsweetened dried coconut." -Wine makers Notes

My Review: I was really impressed by this wine, it was probably the smoothest wine I have ever seen. It was very fruity, and was literally as smooth as water. One thing I noticed was that it wasn't overly powerful. This might be one of my new favorites and I would definitely get it again!
